Capitol Hill Portraits is a local Washington DC business owned and operated by me, Tim Devine. I take genuine, simple portraits of strangers.

My goal is to create an image that speaks to who you are, not just what you look like.

I do not keep a studio. I can rent one, but typically I come to my subjects. If the studio look is what you're after, I will bring my lights and backdrops to you. I like to shoot for at least 30 minutes. I take hundreds of frames so you have lots of options to choose from. After the shoot I email you small proofs of all of the images in less than 24 hours. You then select your favorites and I take about 1-2 days to retouch and process the files for you.

I am 100% professional, yet laid back, flexible, and open-minded. I give clear direction. I'll try to make you laugh. We will find your good side, and you may even have fun. I have lots of advice/tips for what to wear, and how to do your make-up. So drop me a line and tell me a little about yourself and let me take care of the rest.

Sessions start at $350. Final price depends on the number of high resolution images, retouching , and usage .
